The theme for our next listener show is going to be “guilty pleasures”

We’re looking for songs that you secretly enjoy but would be reluctant to admit to publicly.

(Which is ironic considering that’s exactly what we’re asking you to do!)

If you want to be included just send me a private message at friendsofdanpodcast@gmail.com

Include your name, song choice and any other information you consider to be relevant.

Once I’ve collected enough of them I’ll record the show.

Thanks everybody, this should be another fun one!

If you met someone who had never heard anything by one of your favorite musical artists what’s the one song you would play them to motivate them to want to hear more?

I’ll be reading your explanations on the air so be sure to make them detailed and compelling!

“I like this song” isn’t sufficient :)

Send the name of the artist, the name of the track and the reasons you picked the song to:

friendsofdanpodcast@gmail.com

Once I’ve collected enough submissions I’ll make a show out of it.

Thanks in advance for your contributions!

Welcome to the official website of the Friends of Dan Music Podcast!

When Mike Post and I started the show in the spring of 2010 we hoped for the best but really didn’t know what would happen. But based on the quality of the guests we’ve been getting and the size of our audience it seemed like the time to take this important step.

I have to thank Podarama.com for hosting the show up till now and helping us get started. I also have to thank Dave Schoenholtz for designing our site.

The features on this easy to navigate website speak for themselves but I do want to mention that from now on I will be using the blog feature to replace the Pod News episodes. The only reason I did them was to be able to communicate news to our listeners without taking up any of the guests’ valuable time. But since the blog will allow me to deliver news faster, more often and less expensively it seems like the way to go.

I invite everyone to participate in the site by leaving comments on specific episodes and/or “liking” them on Facebook. There are icons on the home page that will take you straight to our Facebook and Twitter pages and our You Tube channel.

I’m really excited to have this site up and running and I’m looking forward to producing many more quality episodes in the future. Thanks for your support and thanks for listening!
